Bible Journaling Group

Sunday evenings

4:00 pm

New Bible Journaling Small Group begins this weekend! If you are interested in journaling, scrapbooking, drawing, or just want to find a way to be creative while studying the bible, then this new group is for you! You do not have to be artistic, as plenty of supplies will be available that do not require a drawing talent. Beginning this Sunday, October 4th, the group will meet weekly on Sunday at 4:00pm in the Genesis classroom. You can reply to this post or contact Chelsea Walters to rsvp or ask for more information. All are welcome, bring a friend!

Educators Small Group

Teachers, Principals, Learning Support Staff, and anyone else serving in education:

Why do you teach? Why do you work in education? Simply put, you are called. You teach and lead because God has called you to do so. However, God did not call you to serve in education and then leave you alone. As a teacher or education professional you have the promise that God will be with you. Just like when God called Moses in Exodus 3:1–4:17, you can be assured that God will use whatever skills you have and you will find the help you need to be an impactful teacher or educational leader. No matter how challenging this school year is for you, you are not alone.

You are invited to join a new small group designed just for those serving in education. The group is being co-led by Michelle Garman and Melissa Cutshall and will meet once a month in our church Social Hall. You’ll find the encouragement and spiritual guidance you need to fulfill the call on your life in this challenging profession and become everything the Bible says you can be through Christ. Come see what God wants to show you about your own set of skills.

If you are interested in being a part of this small group, please complete the brief survey below by October 6th so a day/time that works for most can be decided.

Kitchen Class

Sunday mornings

9:00am

The Kitchen Class is not a class of kitchen help workers. Rather, this is a men's and women's class open to any adult. The class alternates between studies by popular authors such as Adam Hamilton, Max Lucado, Mike Slaughter and James Moore and studies of individual books of the Bible or subjects that cross over multiple Bible books.

What do Small Groups Do?

Small groups provide an environment for you to grow in your relationship with God and others. Most people who have experienced a Small Group will say that the greatest benefit is the close friendships that develop and continue to this day.

What if I can’t come every week?

Everyone has a busy plate in life with many demands and little time to commit to something else - which is exactly the reason we need to be in a small group together! We all need a place to belong and work through the issues of life. Even if you can’t commit to coming each week, consider committing to attending when you can. Small groups are meant to bring meaning and community into the flow of your life, so even if you can’t attend every single meeting, there is still great value in joining a group.
